The Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science and Mathematics, Universitas Diponegoro holds the SEAMS School 2024. The activity held on July 1-9 2024, with the topic is “Derivations on Rings and Modules with Applications”. SEAMS School 2024 is supported by Centre International de Mathématiques Pures et Appliquées (CIMPA), France, and the South East Asian Mathematical Society (SEAMS). This activity also collaborated with Universitas Gadjah Mada, Universitas Lampung, Universitas Khairun-Ternate, and Aligarh Muslim University-India. The Algebra and Combinatorics Team was organized at this school.

There are 55 participants of the SEAMS School 2024 which comes from 5 countries: Indonesia, India, Philippines, Cambodia, and Bangladesh.
The first day i. e. July 1, 2024, was opened by a ceremony. The Chair of SEAMS School 2024, Dr. Nikken Prima Puspita, M. Sc reported this activity to the audience. During the opening ceremony, the participants listen to some opening speeches from the Chair of the Indonesian Algebraist Society (Dr. I Gede Adhitya Wisnu Wardhana), The President of the Indonesian Mathematical Society (Prof. Dr. Indah Emilia Wijayanti), The Dean of Faculty of Science and Mathematics (Prof. Kusworo Adi), watching the video from The President of SEAMS organization (Prof. Dr. Detiena Intan Muchtadi) and Director of CIMPA organization (Prof.Christophe Ritzenthaler, France). During the formal session, the SEAMS School 2024 was opened by Vice-Rector Wijayanto. S.IP., M.Si., Ph.D.
The aim of SEAMS SCHOOL 2024 is to provide a complete introduction to derivation on rings and modules theory. It starts from the background of rings and modules, Classifications of Derivations, Derivations in Modules, Generalized Derivations in Rings, Generalized Derivation on Modules, Higher Derivations in Rings and Modules, and the applications. The organizers of SEAMS SCHOOL 2024 hope that participants can continue to develop their knowledge both theoretically and applied that can benefit society.
