Gunungbatu (22/07/2024) – Ibu Tati, a resilient entrepreneur, started her banana chips business with great enthusiasm. In a short period, her banana chips have successfully penetrated the markets in Kesesi, Comal, and various areas in Pemalang. Keripik Pisang “Mbak Tati” come in two tempting flavors, sweet and salty, and are available in three packaging sizes: 150 grams, 1 kilogram, and 1.5 kilograms. The prices are very affordable, ranging from Rp. 5,000 to Rp. 50,000.

However, in the production of banana chips, Ibu Tati has faced some difficulties in calculating the raw material costs and the profits gained. Abied Farih Alvian, a student from the mathematics department, part of KKN TIM II UNDIP, created a module titled “Pemaksimalan Penjualan pada UMKM keripik Pisang Ibu Tati” or “Maximizing Sales for Ibu Tati’s Banana Chips MSME” (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises). This module contains calculations for costs, profits, and the number of banana chip pieces that need to be sold to achieve maximum profit.

By following the guidelines from this module, Ibu Tati can maximize her earnings. Selling 100 pieces of 150 grams, 12 pieces of 1 kg, and 2 pieces of 1.5 kg for the sweet variant, as well as 20 pieces of 150 grams, 5 pieces of 1 kg, and 1 piece of 1.5 kg for the salty variant, Ibu Tati can achieve a net profit of up to Rp. 1,000,000 with raw material costs of Rp. 350,000.

This module not only helps Ibu Tati but can also serve as an inspiration for other MSME entrepreneurs in developing their banana chips business. With the right strategy and optimal use of resources, success can be achieved more easily.
