The Faculty of Science and Mathematics (FSM) Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) held the 4th Professional Oath Ceremony for Medical Physicists on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at the 6th floor of the Acintya Prasada Building. This solemn event was attended by Medical Physicist graduates, academic officials, and representatives from professional organizations. A total of 34 Medical Physicist graduates were officially sworn in, marking the beginning of their careers as Medical Physicists in Indonesia.

The event began with a report from the Chairperson, Prof. Dr. Eng. Eko Hidayanto, S.Si., M.Si., F.Med., who mentioned that this activity was the 4th Professional Oath Ceremony for Medical Physicists which also the 3rd Oath Ceremony for the Regular Professional Program. He also emphasized the importance of this event as a symbol of the graduates’ commitment to a responsible profession. In his speech via Zoom, Mr. Suwardi, Chairman of AFISMI of DPW Central Java, expressed gratitude and congratulations to the graduates, stressing the importance of becoming a professional in the field of Medical Physics, which plays a significant role in healthcare.

Dr. Lukmanda Evan Lubis, F.Med., Chairman of the Central Executive Board of AFISMI, also attended online via Zoom and delivered a speech reminding the graduates that this is the beginning of a challenging professional journey. He emphasized the importance of morals and integrity in pursuing this profession. Jatmiko Endro Suseno, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D., F.Med., representing the Head of the Department of Physics, also delivered a speech expressing appreciation for the support of various parties that made this event successful. He highlighted the importance of diversity values in the Medical Physicist profession.

In his remarks, FSM UNDIP Dean, Prof. Dr. Kusworo Adi, S.Si., M.T., reminded the graduates to always adhere to high-quality standards in their professional practices. He also encouraged the graduates to maintain the good name of the alma mater and participate in tracer studies as a contribution to the development of education quality at UNDIP.

The culmination of the ceremony involved the recitation of the professional oath by all participants, conducted in accordance with their respective religions (Islam, Protestant Christianity, Catholicism, Hinduism, and Buddhism), as an official symbol of their entry into the professional world. Following this, the event closed with a group photo session and the recitation of a prayer as a form of gratitude for the graduates’ success.

FSM UNDIP congratulates all Medical Physicist graduates and hopes they can make significant contributions to the healthcare field, while carrying out their profession with integrity and professionalism.
