Students from the Faculty of Science and Mathematics (FSM) at Diponegoro University once again demonstrated their commitment to excellence by achieving a series of remarkable accomplishments in various national and international competitions throughout August 2025. From scientific writing, mathematics and physics olympiads, business plan contests, to international youth innovation forums, FSM students excelled and brought home medals and titles from prestigious institutions.
These achievements reflect not only academic excellence but also the students’ dedication to addressing strategic global issues such as renewable energy, scientific innovation, and food security. The students excelled both individually and as part of interdisciplinary teams.
Below is the list of achievements by FSM UNDIP students in August 2025:
- Ahmad Maulana Julianto (Undergraduate in Physics, Class of 2022), along with Maulani Rizqi and Geuvmyraphyta Hutasoit, won 2nd Honorable Mention in the Fun Mathematics Competition organized by HIMATIKA VEKTOR, Universitas Negeri Malang.
- Ahmad Maulana Julianto also won 2nd Place in the Physics Olympiad held as part of the Pekan Fisika event by Tadris Fisika, UIN Mahmud Yunus BatuSangkar.
- Muhammad Syahdan Yudha (Undergraduate in Physics, Class of 2023), together with Devina Rahmadhani, Kanya Gading Adyawita, and Pricellia Alexandra Natasya P., won 3rd Place in the Pelita Fair organized by Universitas Tidar Magelang.
- Diana Alfira Cahyani (Undergraduate in Chemistry, Class of 2024), and her team, secured 3rd Place in the 10th SAFE SIP National Scientific Writing Competition (LKTIN) held at Politeknik Negeri Jember.
- Wahyu Budi Utomo (Undergraduate in Physics, Class of 2022) earned three prestigious awards at the International Youth Excursion Network in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: TOP Delegate, Fully Funded Program, and 1st Best Video Innovation.
- Herlina Setiawati (Undergraduate in Biology, Class of 2022), and her team, won 3rd Place in the Business Plan Competition – SRE Fest 2025, conducted virtually by Telkom University Purwokerto.
- Muhamad Yusuf Al Malik (Undergraduate in Mathematics, Class of 2025) received a Gold Medal and ranked 4th nationally in the Gelar Intelektual Sains Nasional (GISN) #2, Mathematics category.
- Adeline Hartono (Undergraduate in Biotechnology, Class of 2023), together with Danendra Daryl Abhinaya and Syahid Fattah Asgasatya, won 1st Place in the Medical Laboratory Technologist Olympiad (METHANOL) hosted by Universitas Airlangga.
- Agung Kurniawan (Undergraduate in Chemistry, Class of 2024), and his team, were selected as Top 5 Finalists in the Scientific Writing Competition – Chemistry Science Festival (TryCiti) 3.0, held by HIMAKIM FMIPA Universitas Tadulako.
- Diana Alfira Cahyani (Undergraduate in Chemistry, Class of 2024), together with her team members Bayu Saputra and Aurellya Azzahrah, was selected as one of the Top 7 National Finalists in the scientific writing category at the Chemistry Science Festival (TryCiti) 3.0 organized by HIMAKIM FMIPA, Universitas Tadulako.
- Rizqi Adika Permana (Undergraduate in Statistics, Class of 2023) became a Semi-Finalist in the Olympic of Statistics (OLS), organized by HMPS Statistika FMIPA Universitas Negeri Makassar (UNM).
FSM UNDIP expresses its highest appreciation to all students for their dedication, hard work, and competitive spirit. The outstanding achievements of August are expected to serve as inspiration for all members of the FSM academic community to continue innovating, developing their potential, and responding to global challenges through cross-disciplinary collaboration and scientific contributions.
