Visit of Budi Cendekia Islamic School Depok to FSM UNDIP for Higher Education Exploration

The Faculty of Science and Mathematics (FSM), Universitas Diponegoro, welcomed an educational visit from SMA Budi Cendekia Islamic (BCI) School Depok on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at the 4th floor of the Acintya Prasada Building, FSM UNDIP. This activity was organized/held as part of the school’s effort to prepare students for higher education while introducing the academic environment and study opportunities in the fields of science and mathematics.

The event began with a welcoming speech from the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs of FSM UNDIP, Prof. Dr. Ngadiwiyana, S.Si., M.Si. In his remarks, he stated that all study programs at FSM UNDIP have achieved “Excellent” accreditation and are currently undergoing the process of international accreditation. He emphasized FSM’s commitment to producing future scientists through high-quality education, outstanding students, and excellent human resources. The Faculty of Science and Mathematics is expected to serve as a space for young generations to grow and contribute to the advancement of science and technology.

Remarks from the school were delivered by Ms. Noviarti Rahayu, S.Pd., M.Hum., Gr, who expressed appreciation for the opportunity given to the students to visit and learn more about university life. She encouraged students to pay close attention to the presentation and actively participate in the discussion session to gain a more comprehensive understanding of study options and future opportunities in higher education.

The program continued with a presentation on Universitas Diponegoro and the Faculty of Science and Mathematics by Adhe Setya Pramayoga, M.T., Coordinator of Public Relations at FSM UNDIP. During this session, students were introduced to the university’s admission system, including the Independent Admission Test (Ujian Mandiri) and the Seleksi Bibit Unggul Berprestasi (SBUB) pathway for students with academic and non-academic achievements. The presentation also highlighted campus facilities that support learning, a conducive academic environment, and various services that prepare students for their future careers.

Students were also introduced to the Faculty of Science and Mathematics, which offers seven undergraduate programs: Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Physics, Informatics, and Statistics. The session provided an overview of the academic environment at FSM, student activities, and opportunities for personal and professional development during university life. This information aimed to give students an initial understanding of study options in higher education.

The session became increasingly interactive during the Q&A segment. Students showed strong enthusiasm by asking questions about admission through achievements or olympiads, university partnerships, types of competitions eligible for the SBUB pathway, the use of Academic Competency Test (TKA) scores, and campus facilities. The discussion provided students with the opportunity to obtain information directly from the faculty.

Through this visit, FSM UNDIP hopes that the students of SMA Budi Cendekia Islamic School Depok gain broader insights into university life and study opportunities in science and mathematics. FSM UNDIP also welcomes the school’s initiative in preparing students for higher education and looks forward to potential academic collaboration in the future.
