MAN 2 Malang Visits FSM UNDIP, Broadening Students’ Understanding of University Life

The Faculty of Science and Mathematics (FSM) of Diponegoro University (UNDIP) welcomed students from Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 2 Malang for a Campus Study Visit, held as part of the students’ preparation and orientation ahead of higher education. The event took place on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at the Acintya Prasada Building, 6th Floor, FSM UNDIP.

The event opened with remarks from the accompanying teacher, Mr. Ahmad Fitra Rasyadi, M.Pd., who conveyed his hopes to all participating students. He encouraged them to listen attentively to every presentation delivered, in order to build a solid understanding of university life, and to actively engage in discussions with the faculty.

On behalf of the host, Satriawan Rasyid Purnama, S.Kom., M.Cs., Coordinator of Information Technology at FSM UNDIP, extended a warm welcome to all participants. In his remarks, he encouraged the students to consider FSM UNDIP as a path for their future. “We hope this visit marks the beginning of your journey in getting to know campus life more closely. The door to becoming a scientist is wide open here, as science is the very foundation of all knowledge,” he said.

The event continued with a presentation on the profile of FSM and Diponegoro University, delivered by Adhe Setya Pramayoga, M.T., FSM’s Public Relations Coordinator. In his presentation, he introduced the faculty’s range of leading study programs — from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Informatics, to Statistics — all of which are nationally accredited and internationally recognized. Students also received a comprehensive overview of Diponegoro University as a whole, covering its modern campus facilities, student activities, and admission pathways through SNBP, SNBT, and the Independent Entrance Examination.

The presentation session was met with great enthusiasm, as evidenced by a lively question-and-answer session between the MAN 2 Malang students and FSM UNDIP representatives. A wide range of questions were raised — from study programs and scholarship opportunities to campus life — reflecting the students’ strong interest in and curiosity about higher education.

Through this activity, FSM UNDIP hopes to broaden the horizons of the younger generation and inspire them to pursue higher education, particularly in the fields of science and mathematics.
