MAN 1 Cilacap Welcomes Campus World Information through a Study Visit to FSM UNDIP

The Faculty of Science and Mathematics (FSM) of Diponegoro University (UNDIP) welcomed students from Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 Cilacap for a Campus Study Visit as part of their preparation for higher education. The event took place on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, from 09.00 to 10.30 WIB at the Acintya Prasada Building, 6th Floor, FSM UNDIP.

The event opened with remarks from the Principal of MAN 1 Cilacap, H. Sodikun, S.Ag., M.Pd.I., who conveyed his great hopes for all students. He emphasized that education should not stop at the madrasah level, and encouraged students to begin building their understanding of university life. He also expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome from FSM UNDIP, before inviting the host to share stories and information about campus life.

Representing the host, the Coordinator of Academic and Student Affairs of FSM UNDIP, Oki Ade Putra, M.Si., delivered a motivational speech. He affirmed that UNDIP is the right choice for students with high ambitions. “Going to university increases the probability of success. If you have the desire to work hard, I am confident that success is only a matter of time,” he said. He expressed hope that the students would take home many valuable insights from the entire series of activities.

The event continued with a presentation delivered by Satriawan Rasyid Purnama, S.Kom., M.Cs., Coordinator of Information Technology at FSM UNDIP. He introduced FSM as a faculty offering seven excellent undergraduate programs — Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Informatics, and Statistics — all of which are accredited and internationally recognized. He also explained the three official admission pathways to Diponegoro University: SNBP (National Selection Based on Achievement), which is based on academic grades and achievements with costs covered by the government; SNBT (National Selection Based on Testing) through a computer-based UTBK exam; and the Independent Examination organized directly by UNDIP.

The presentation was met with great enthusiasm from the participants, marked by an interactive question-and-answer session between the students of MAN 1 Cilacap and the FSM UNDIP team. A wide range of questions about study programs, scholarship opportunities, and campus life were raised, reflecting the students’ strong interest in and curiosity about higher education.

Through this activity, FSM UNDIP hopes to broaden the horizons of the younger generation and inspire them to pursue higher education, particularly in the fields of science and mathematics.
