FSM UNDIP Supports the Improvement of Scientific Publications through Participation in a Reputable Scientific Writing Workshop

The Faculty of Science and Mathematics (FSM) at Diponegoro University demonstrates its commitment to enhancing the quality of scientific publications by participating in a Reputable Scientific Article Writing Workshop organized by the Graduate School of Sebelas Maret University on Monday, April 13, 2026.

Carrying the theme “From Research to Publication: How to Successfully Write Reputable Scientific Articles,” the workshop served as a platform for lecturers and students to deepen their understanding of publication strategies in reputable journals. FSM UNDIP contributed to this event through the presence of one of its speakers, Yayuk Astuti, who shared her experience and expertise in scientific publication.

In her presentation, Prof. Yayuk Astuti emphasized the importance of research quality as the main foundation for producing outstanding scientific articles. She explained that novelty, research contribution, and methodological accuracy are key factors determining whether an article can be accepted in reputable journals. In addition, participants gained insights into selecting appropriate journals and the importance of avoiding predatory journals.

The workshop also featured another speaker, Kemal Budi Mulyono from Semarang State University, who delivered material on systematic and effective scientific writing techniques. His session covered the structure of a scientific article, from abstract to conclusion, as well as strategies for navigating the journal review process.

Attended by lecturers and students from various institutions, the workshop was conducted interactively, with active discussions and Q&A sessions. FSM UNDIP’s participation in this activity reflects its support for improving academic competencies, particularly in the field of scientific publication.

Through its involvement in this workshop, FSM UNDIP hopes to continuously encourage its academic community to produce high-quality scientific work that can compete at both national and international levels. Furthermore, this activity is expected to strengthen academic networks among universities in efforts to enhance the quality of research and scientific publications.
