The Dean of FSM UNDIP, Prof. Dr Widowati., S.Si., M.Si expressed his gratitude for the achievements of the lecturers in his environment
‘”Alhamdulillah, we are very proud and happy, hopefully the new professors can contribute to the progress of UNDIP with creative and innovative ideas, so that UNDIP will be more stable towards 500 Word Class University (WCU).
Currently there are at least 16 professors or professors, out of a total of 178 lecturers in FSM. “Now there are four more people who are still making proposals,” he explained, Wednesday (26/5/2021).
To achieve this title, you need encouragement and motivation. Therefore, according to him, his party continues to encourage lecturers at FSM to obtain doctoral degrees.
‘‘We continue to encourage and accelerate fellow lecturers to become professors, through the OPOC (One Professor One Candidate program). We require one professor to guide one prospective professor, so that they can accelerate their achievement,” he explained.
Prof Widowati also emphasized that the success of the lecturers at FSM cannot be separated from the university’s support. These include support for further study funds, research or research, strengthening international national seminars, writing in national and international journals, especially those that are accredited and others.
‘‘We are very grateful to the university, the rector and all of them for their support. Professor is the highest position in the university environment. On the one hand, Professorship or professorship positions are very much needed in deans and universities because they can contribute to developing faculties and UNDIP so that they can contribute a lot in the national and international arena. Including UNDIP in the research strengthening phase, where research lecturers are encouraged to continue to innovate by developing research according to their expertise,” he explained.
As is known, the inauguration of 21 professors was held in 7 stages, where each stage was filled with the inauguration of 3 professors. The schedule prepared by the university starts on Tuesday (25/May/2021); Thursday (27/May/2021); Monday (31/May/2021); Wednesday (2/June/2021); Friday (4/June/2021); Tuesday (8/June/2021); and Thursday (10/May 2021. Detailed from the origin of the faculty, the most from the Faculty of Science and Mathematics (FSM) with 9 professors, the Faculty of Engineering (FT) with 6 professors, the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) with 3 professors, and the Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Agriculture (FPP), Faculty of Medicine (FK) and Faculty of Psychology (FPsi) have one professor each.
