Semarang – Faculty of Science and Mathematics Diponegoro University, Strengthens Collaboration with Industry Through Partnership with PT. Pura Barutama
The Faculty of Science and Mathematics (FSM) at Diponegoro University (Undip) has reinforced its network of collaborations with industry by initiating a partnership with PT. Pura Barutama Kudus. This initiative aims to foster synergies in education, research, and community service while enhancing the quality and competitiveness of FSM graduates.
The meeting, held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at the Acintya Prasada, 4th Floor, was attended by the Recruitment Manager team of PT. Pura Barutama, led by Mr. Burhan Surya. During the occasion, representatives from PT. Pura Barutama emphasized the critical role of FSM Undip alumni, who have become the backbone of their industry. The company even presented a list of alumni from the Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Informatics programs who currently hold key and strategic positions within the organization.
Key topics discussed during the meeting included plans for industry-led guest lectures, the placement of practitioner lecturers to support Merdeka Belajar – Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program, and leveraging the success stories of alumni to inspire current FSM students. Additionally, opportunities for research collaboration were explored to deliver innovative and relevant solutions for both industry and society.
Dr. Ngadiwiyana, S.Si., M.Si., Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs at FSM Undip, expressed hope that the collaboration with PT. Pura Barutama would continue to thrive and yield positive impacts for both parties.
“We believe that this partnership with PT. Pura Barutama will bring significant benefits, especially in enhancing academic quality and the relevance of our graduates in the workforce. Through activities such as practitioner-led lectures, collaborative research, and the participation of successful alumni in industry, we are optimistic about creating an adaptive and innovative academic ecosystem,” said Dr. Ngadiwiyana.
As part of FSM Undip’s efforts to strengthen its ranking and reputation on the international stage, increasing the number of alumni absorbed by industry remains a primary goal. This collaboration is expected to help FSM Undip prepare future generations to be excellent, innovative, and globally competitive. Moving forward, a dedicated team will be formed to formalize the collaboration plan.
Through this initiative, FSM Undip reaffirms its commitment to collaborating with various stakeholders to advance science, technology, and innovation in Indonesia. All parties involved hope that this partnership with PT.
