Semarang, May 7, 2025 — The Faculty of Science and Mathematics, Universitas Diponegoro (FSM UNDIP), welcomed a campus visit from SMA Negeri 2 Tanggul Jember on Wednesday, May 7, 2025. The visit took place at the 3rd Floor Auditorium of Building G, FSM UNDIP.

The event began with opening remarks from the Head of the School Development Team, Mr. Sutondo, S.Pd., SE., MM. He expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to connect with the FSM UNDIP academic community and hoped the visit would be beneficial for the students. He also conveyed greetings from the Principal of SMA N 2 Tanggul Jember and extended sincere appreciation for the warm welcome. The main purpose of the visit was to support students’ aspirations by providing them with direct insight into university life and helping them better understand higher education. Through this activity, students were expected to gain new knowledge and perspectives that they had not yet encountered.

Following the opening session, the program continued with a presentation and discussion led by Dr. Pandji Triadyaksa, S.Si., M.Sc., F.Med., Coordinator for Promotion and Communication at FSM UNDIP. He introduced the faculty’s profile, academic programs, facilities, and a variety of academic opportunities available at FSM. He also shared valuable advice for students when choosing a university in the future, such as the importance of checking program accreditation, understanding where the faculty members earned their degrees, and considering the number of lecturers with doctoral or professorial titles as a measure of academic quality.

The students participated enthusiastically throughout the session. Their engagement grew even more during the Q&A segment, where several students eagerly asked questions, including the possibility for first-year students to be involved in faculty research projects, and how a program earns international accreditation status.

FSM UNDIP greatly values activities like this as part of its ongoing efforts to introduce higher education to students early on, while also strengthening the connection between secondary education and universities.
