Ms. Afni Restasari, an alumna of the Chemistry undergraduate program at FSM UNDIP, class of 2004, began her career as a teacher after graduating in 2009. Her passion for continuous growth led her to pass the selection for a civil servant researcher position at the National Institute of Aeronautics and Space (LAPAN) in 2015. Over time, as institutional restructuring occurred, LAPAN was integrated into the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), where it continues to develop its potential and contributions as a researcher.
Her career journey became even more inspiring when she was awarded two prestigious scholarships for further study: the Riset-Pro scholarship from the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education for her Master’s degree in Japan (2018–2020), and the LPDP scholarship to pursue her Doctoral studies in the United Kingdom (2022–2026). These accomplishments were built on the strong academic foundation she gained during her time at FSM UNDIP. The chemistry knowledge she acquired not only prepared her academically but also instilled in her an analytical mindset crucial for both fundamental and applied research.
To current FSM UNDIP students, Ms. Afni offers this message: always be diligent in your studies and make the most of your time in university. According to her, dedication during college is a valuable investment for building a successful career in professional and research fields. With discipline, a passion for learning, and the courage to dream big, there are no limits to what you can achieve in the future.
