Ms. Putri Shania Noor is a graduate of the Biotechnology undergraduate program at FSM UNDIP, class of 2018, who completed her studies in 2022. Her career journey has not been an easy one; she has faced many challenges and fierce competition. However, with determination and a never-give-up spirit, she advanced from an analyst during her Kampus Merdeka internship to a Microbiology Junior Expert at PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk, based in Pangkalan Bun, Central Kalimantan. There, she actively engages in research and development activities, applying both the experience and soft skills she gained during her university years.
Her journey didn’t stop there. Ms. Putri is currently on study leave, fully supported by her institution, to pursue a Master’s degree. Thanks to strong recommendations from her lecturers and her enthusiasm for learning, she was awarded an LPDP scholarship and is now enrolled in the Industrial Biotechnology for a Bio-based Economy program at INSA Toulouse, France. Throughout her studies, she continues to build networks and broaden her perspective, gaining knowledge and connections she plans to bring back to contribute to Indonesia, particularly in a field aligned with her current work.
The knowledge and experience she gained during her time in the Biotechnology program at FSM UNDIP played a significant role in shaping her academic foundation, especially since the research project she is currently working on is closely related to her undergraduate thesis topic. She continues to engage in discussions with her former lecturers and fellow alumni as part of her ongoing learning journey.
As motivation for FSM UNDIP students, Ms. Putri encourages them to always prepare themselves to the best of their ability and to be brave in trying new, positive things. In her words: “You never know which opportunity will open the door to your dreams and the career you aspire to.”
