The Faculty of Science and Mathematics (FSM) at Diponegoro University received a visit from the Mathematics Department of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) on Friday, July 25, 2025, at the Acintya Prasada Meeting Room, 4th Floor, FSM UNDIP Dean Building. The meeting carried the theme “Collaboration Discussion on the Tridharma of Higher Education for the Development of the Mathematics Study Program at UNDIP and ITB” with the aim of exploring cooperation in the development of education, research, and community service between the two institutions.
The event opened with remarks from the Head of the Mathematics Department at FSM UNDIP, Dr. Susilo Hariyanto, S.Si., M.Si., who expressed appreciation for the presence of the ITB team and introduced the faculty members of FSM’s Mathematics Department to the guests. In his speech, Dr. Susilo also shared information regarding the number of lecturers and various academic activities at FSM. He hoped that this meeting could become the beginning of a positive and sustainable collaboration.
From ITB, remarks were delivered by Drs. Yudi Soeharyadi, M.Si., Ph.D., who expressed hope that the visit would pave the way for close and sustainable cooperation between the Mathematics Department of ITB and FSM UNDIP.
Next, Jalina Widjaja, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D. presented the profile of ITB’s Mathematics Department, including the introduction of faculty members, academic activities, and the ongoing development of postgraduate programs. The discussion continued warmly with a spirit of sharing experiences and exploring opportunities for collaboration.
This meeting is expected to strengthen the relationship between the two institutions and encourage collaborative initiatives that support the enhancement of the Tridharma of Higher Education in the future, in line with FSM UNDIP’s commitment to continuous growth and contribution to society.
