The Faculty of Science and Mathematics (FSM) at Diponegoro University held a workshop on Graduate Learning Outcomes (CPL) Assessment – Outcome Based Education (OBE) on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at Hotel Horison Inn Antawirya, Semarang. The event was attended by representatives from each study program within FSM UNDIP, aiming to enhance understanding and practices related to CPL evaluation in preparation for accreditation.

In her opening report, Prof. Dr. Dwi Hudiyanti, M.Sc., who also serves as Chair of the Faculty Quality Assurance Team (TPMF), explained that the workshop provided participants with the opportunity to directly apply various methods used to assess graduate outcomes. “Hopefully, what we are doing today will benefit each program. Even though only representatives are present, we hope they will pass the knowledge on to their respective departments,” she stated.

The event was officially opened by the Dean of FSM UNDIP, Prof. Dr. Kusworo Adi, S.Si., M.T., who expressed his hope that the workshop would lead to better teaching and learning practices. “May this workshop bring positive impact to all of us, so we can deliver the best learning experience to our students,” he said.

The workshop consisted of three main sessions. The first session discussed the concept of CPL assessment within the OBE framework, delivered by Ira Mutiara Anjasmara, ST., M.Phil., Ph.D., Sub-Coordinator for Curriculum Development and Learning Innovation at the Directorate of Academic Learning, ITS. In this session, participants received a comprehensive explanation on OBE framework, principles of constructive alignment, and the integration between CPL, CPMK (Course Learning Outcomes), and assessment implementation. The session was moderated by Rully Rahadian, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D.

The second session focused on a simulation of CPL assessment for one selected course from each study program. Participants were guided to apply CPL assessment techniques based on the selected course, facilitated by moderator Dr. Rina Dwi Indriana, S.Si., M.Si. This session served as both a practical implementation and reflection on the CPL assessment practices already in place or under development within FSM programs.

The third session featured presentations from each study program on their CPL assessment results. The session was moderated by Dr. Redemtus Heru Tjahjana, S.Si., M.Si., and discussed further by Ira Mutiara Anjasmara, Ph.D. Various challenges and strategies were shared, including the use of portfolios as evaluation tools, flexibility in assessment rubrics, course contributions to CPL, and the importance of strengthening fundamental science elements in CPL design.

Through this workshop, FSM UNDIP reaffirmed its commitment to continuously improving education quality through a structured and sustainable CPL assessment system. The event concluded with a token of appreciation presented to the speakers and moderators, along with the hope that the insights gained will soon be implemented across all study programs within FSM UNDIP.
