FSM UNDIP Students Demonstrate Global Competitiveness Through Strategic Achievements in September

The Faculty of Science and Mathematics (FSM) at Diponegoro University once again marked a series of outstanding achievements through the success of its students throughout September 2025. FSM students demonstrated their academic excellence, innovation, and collaborative spirit in various national and international competitions, spanning science, technology, and even martial arts.

These achievements reflect the synergy between scientific development and a strong awareness of strategic global issues such as renewable energy, sustainable innovation, and the strengthening of international competitiveness. FSM UNDIP students excelled both individually and as part of interdisciplinary teams, proudly representing the faculty at the global level.

The following is a list of FSM UNDIP student achievements in September 2025:

  • Nasywan Kholilur Rahman (Undergraduate in Physics, Class of 2025) won 3rd Place (Bronze Medal) in the sparring category at the UIN Walisongo International Pencak Silat PSHT Championship 2025.
  • Andi Darmawan (Undergraduate in Chemistry, Class of 2022), together with a team from IPB University, secured 3rd Place in Chemistry in Action 2025 for their innovative work on nanofertilizers based on carbon quantum dots.
  • Nabila Putri Nindita (Undergraduate in Mathematics, Class of 2022) won 1st Place in the Mathematics Essay Competition Vaganza VII organized by HIMATESA, University of Bengkulu.
  • Muhammad Syahdan Yudha (Undergraduate in Physics, Class of 2023) and Devina Rahmadhani won 2nd Place in the National Scientific Article Competition (LION RISET) hosted by Trunojoyo University of Madura.
  • Maudy Wahyu Safitri (Undergraduate in Statistics, Class of 2023), along with a cross-departmental team from UNDIP, received a Silver Medal at the prestigious Indonesia Inventors Day 2025 organized by INNOPA in Jakarta.
  • Vangga Deswanto Prasetyo Kurniantoro (Undergraduate in Biotechnology, Class of 2022) and his team also earned a Silver Medal at the same event, supported by the Students Go International program funded under FSM UNDIP’s WCU initiative.
  • Ghozi Abid Prayoga (Undergraduate in Physics, Class of 2021), together with Rakha Aryan Maulana Hakim, received the Best Paper – Student Category award at the Indonesia International Geothermal Convention & Exhibition (IIGCE) 2025. This event is one of the largest global gatherings in the geothermal energy industry and was attended by top universities from around the world.
  • Febiola Irashai Siti Mawla Yuri (Undergraduate in Chemistry, Class of 2023), along with her team, secured 2nd Place and Best Presentation in the 10th National Essay Competition (PIN) held by the Student Research Unit of the University of Lampung.
  • Dwi Nopianti (Undergraduate in Physics, Class of 2024), as part of a cross-departmental team from UNDIP, won 3rd Place in the Brawijaya National Youth Competition.
  • Muhamad Yusuf Al Malik (Undergraduate in Mathematics, Class of 2025) continued his streak of excellence by earning another Gold Medal in the National Student Science Competition (KS2N) in Mathematics, organized by the Prestasi Maju Indonesia Foundation.
