FSM UNDIP Signs Performance Agreement 2026: Supporting UNDIP’s Acceleration Towards the World’s Top 500 Universities

The Faculty of Science and Mathematics (FSM) of Universitas Diponegoro participated in the signing of the 2026 Performance Agreement held by Universitas Diponegoro on Friday, January 9, 2026, at the Rector’s Meeting Room, 2nd Floor of Widya Puraya Building, UNDIP Tembalang Campus. FSM was represented by the Dean of FSM, Prof. Dr. Kusworo Adi, S.Si., M.T., along with the deans of faculties, heads of schools, agencies, and work units within UNDIP. The signing ceremony serves as an implementation of the Government Performance Accountability System (SAKIP) as a form of institutional commitment to improving performance and supporting the achievement of the University’s Key Performance Indicators (IKU) in 2026.

The event was opened by the Rector of UNDIP, Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., who emphasized the importance of strategic collaboration among university units in accelerating UNDIP’s progress towards becoming a world-class university. In his remarks, the Rector stated that UNDIP aims to advance into the world’s top 500 universities, and that all leaders are expected to surpass their respective performance targets. He also noted that policies and programs must be oriented towards student needs and responsive to social media dynamics, highlighting the importance of consistent program execution in enhancing institutional reputation and graduate quality.

The Head of the Planning and Development Agency (BPP) of UNDIP, Prof. Dr. Ir. Purwanto, DEA., explained that the 2026 Performance Agreement represents the implementation of UNDIP’s Strategic Plan (Renstra) 2025–2029, currently entering its second year. The performance indicators stipulated in the agreement include the University’s IKU, particularly the World Class University (WCU) indicators, focusing on publication outputs, Scopus index performance, and reputable Q1 and Q2 journal publications. The Performance Agreement is also aligned with the IKU stipulated between the Rector and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology.

Through this signing, FSM UNDIP reaffirms its commitment to supporting the University’s targets by enhancing academic performance, strengthening research activities, and fostering strategic collaboration in the fields of science and mathematics, which serve as UNDIP’s research pillars and international contributors. The ceremony concluded with the handing over of the 2026 Budget Implementation Documents (DPA) to the respective unit leaders as the basis for program and activity implementation.

FSM hopes that the 2026 Performance Agreement will enable the Faculty to reinforce its role in supporting UNDIP’s acceleration towards becoming a World Class University. This commitment will be realized through improvements in the three pillars of higher education (tridharma), the development of leading research, and cross-unit collaboration with strategic stakeholders.
