Semarang, 22 February 2025 – The Faculty of Science and Mathematics (FSM) Diponegoro University held a socialization of GELATIK TECHNOVA 2025, which aims to equip students with insights and strategies to face this prestigious competition. The event was attended by students from various faculties at Diponegoro University who are enthusiastic in developing skills in Infographic Statistics, Software Development, and Digital Innovation, as well as ambitious to achieve achievements in national competitions.
The event was opened with remarks from Dr. Di Asih I Maruddani, S.Si., M.Si, as the Gelatik PIC representative. She explained that the GELATIK competition is a merger of three competitions that previously stood alone, namely the Statistika Ria dan Festival Sains Data (SATRIA DATA), Pagelaran Mahasiswa Nasional Bidang Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (Gemastik), and Lomba Inovasi Digital Mahasiswa (LIDM). This year, the competitions were brought together to improve the quality of participants and provide a more comprehensive experience. In addition, he emphasized the importance of understanding the tricks of producing work in accordance with the criteria set by the judges. The competition will reach its final round in May.
Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Drs. Tarno, M.Si, as the FSM representative, also gave a speech by expressing his appreciation for the implementation of this socialization as an important first step in preparing students for the GELATIK 2025 competition. He emphasized that this event is a golden opportunity for students to develop potential, increase competitiveness, and bring the good name of Diponegoro University at the national level. In addition, he also reminded that the participants not only represent their respective departments, but also carry the big name of Undip. With the spirit of healthy competition and careful preparation, we hope that Diponegoro University can win the overall title in this competition.
The event was also attended by Dr. Ir. Abdul Syakur, S.T, M.T, IPU, as Undip’s Deputy Director of Student and Alumni Services. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of early preparation for students who want to compete in GELATIK 2025. This socialization is expected to open insights and provide an overview of the biggest assessment points in the competition, so that Undip delegates can achieve the best achievements.
This activity also presented two expert speakers who presented material that was very useful for participants, namely Mr. Romi Satria Wahono, B.Eng., M.Eng., Ph.D, who presented material on Software Development and Prof. Dr. Abdurakhman, M.Si, who provided insight into Statistics Infographics.
With this socialization, it is hoped that Undip students will be more prepared to face the GELATIK TECHNOVA 2025 competition and bring home the victory for their beloved alma mater. Let’s prepare ourselves and achieve the best achievements!
