Etna Vianita, S.Mat., M.Mat., a lecturer at the Department of Informatics, Faculty of Science and Mathematics, Diponegoro University, had the chance of being one of the speakers at The Asian Mathematical Conference 2025 (AMC 2025). This international conference, held on 3–7 August 2025 at The Empress Convention Center, Chiang Mai, Thailand, brought together researchers and academics from various countries to discuss the latest developments in mathematics and its applications across disciplines.

AMC 2025 featured more than 300 authors from 57 countries, with the largest contributions coming from Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Japan. The conference agenda was divided into ten main sessions covering topics such as logic, algebra, geometry, analysis, probability, data science, computation, optimization, as well as interdisciplinary applications including epidemiology, computer science, and mathematical modelling for technology.

In this forum, Ms. Etna presented her team’s research in Section S8: Mathematical Aspects of Computer Science / Numerical Analysis and Scientific Computing / Mathematics in Science and Technology / Interdisciplinary Mathematical Science / Mathematical Modeling. Her presentation, titled Forecasting of Epidemic Dynamics using Fuzzy Time Series Particle Swarm Optimization in High-Order, introduced a novel approach to capturing epidemic dynamics with higher accuracy, while also supporting decision-making in the health sector through more adaptive forecasting.

In addition to presenting her research, Ms. Etna actively built networks with reputable international researchers. Her participation in AMC 2025 is part of Diponegoro University’s World Class University (WCU) program, specifically under the International Academic Networking (IAN) scheme. Through this involvement, FSM UNDIP aims to further strengthen its academic reputation globally while opening opportunities for international research collaborations and joint publications in the future.

FSM UNDIP remains committed to supporting its lecturers and students in engaging with international forums, as a tangible step towards realizing its vision of becoming a leading faculty of science with global competitiveness and meaningful contributions to scientific advancement and society.
