The Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) of the Faculty of Science and Mathematics took place for 3 consecutive days (14-16 September 2020) online. This activity is a series of PKKMB activities organized by the University so that new students get supplies before starting their activities on campus even though at the beginning of the lecture it must be carried out online. Dean of the Faculty of Science and Mathematics Prof. Dr. Widowati, S.Si., M.Sc. giving a welcome to new students while officially accepting new students for the 2020/2021 academic year. In his speech, the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Mathematics advised new students to study in a balanced manner, both academic and non-academic, so that later graduates of the Faculty of Science and Mathematics would not only become jobseekers but also job creators.

This year’s PKKMB uses Microsoft Teams Live Event as a platform to livestream to participants. The material presented at this PKKMB activity contained National Insights and State Defense presented by Prof. Dr. Wahyu Setia Budi, M.S., then the material for the development of the mental revolution national movement was delivered by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nur, DEA, after that the material on Environmental Awareness and Disaster Preparedness in Higher Education was delivered by Dr. Jafron W Hidayat, M.Sc. and many other materials are presented that support new students to adapt in their new environment. New students seemed enthusiastic about the material presented, as evidenced by several recorded participants focusing on noting the points of the material presented.
In this event, a quiz was also given at the end of the activity which all participants participated in to compete for prizes from the committee. The enthusiasm of the participants was seen by the recording of all participants taking the quiz that was held. This activity was closed by the Deputy Dean of Academic and Student Affairs Farikhin, Ph.D. by giving directions so that new students prepare for the lectures that will start tomorrow.
