Semarang, February 5, 2025. The Faculty of Science and Mathematics (FSM) of Diponegoro University (Undip) held a Socialization of LPPM 2025 PPM Proposal Acceptance and Research Proposal Writing Workshop at the AP Building of Undip FSM. This event aims to improve lecturers’ and researchers’ understanding of the mechanism for submitting research and community service (PPM) proposals and to encourage an increase in the quality of the submitted proposals.
In the socialization session, Prof. Firmansyah, S.E., M.Si, PhD as deputy head of research at LPPM Undip, explained the various research schemes available at LPPM Undip, including the mechanism for submitting proposals and aspects that need to be considered so that proposals can be accepted and funded. On this occasion, Prof. Firmansyah said that LPPM Undip opened 9 research schemes from young lecturer schemes to group clusters this year. The expected outputs of the proposals were also explained in detail, including the financial submission and reporting mechanisms.
The workshop session on writing research proposals was guided by Dr.Eng. Ali Khumaeni, S.Si, M.E. from FSM Undip, who provided insights on good proposal preparation techniques and strategies so that proposals can compete in funding selection. Dr.Eng. Ali Khumaeni, S..Si, M.E said that one of the keys to success in research is to have carried out a comprehensive literature study and fully understand the research gap so that it is possible to find novelty in research. Research results also become easy to publish in high-impact journals.
The event was moderated by Dr Sutrisno, S.Si., M.Sc. from the Department of Mathematics FSM Undip, who ensured that the discussion was interactive and the participants gained a deep understanding of the topics discussed. It is hoped that through this activity, Undip FSM lecturers and researchers will be increasingly encouraged to produce quality research and community service, contribute to the development of science and the wider community, and support Undip with dignity and benefits.
