Students of the Faculty of Science and Mathematics (FSM) Diponegoro University again made proud achievements in various prestigious competitions. In the XXXIII Mathematics Competition and Seminar (LSM) held at Yogyakarta State University (UNY) on February 22, 2025. Muhammad Syahid from the UNDIP Mathematics Study Program won 2nd place after competing with the best students from various universities in Indonesia. This achievement shows that FSM UNDIP students have superior competence in the fields of science and mathematics and are ready to compete at the national and international levels.
Not only in the academic field, FSM UNDIP students also recorded brilliant achievements in the Gadjah Mada Open International Karate Championship II event which took place at GOR Pancasila UGM, Yogyakarta, on February 21-23, 2025. The championship was attended by more than 1,900 participants from various regions and ASEAN countries, including Malaysia. Utari Maharani (S1 Physics) won 1st place in the Women’s Student Kumite +68kg and 3rd place in the Women’s Open Kumite U-21 +68kg, showing an extraordinary fighting spirit that led the UNDIP FSM to the international stage. In addition, Amanda Marcella Octaviani (S1 Biology) successfully won 1st place in the Women’s Student Kumite -55kg, while Nanda Indar (S1 Biology) won 2nd place in the Women’s Student Kumite -68kg.
This success is proof that UNDIP FSM students not only excel in academics but also have outstanding achievements in the field of sports. This achievement is expected to be an inspiration for other students to continue to strive, work, and make the alma mater proud in various competitions.
