The Faculty of Science and Mathematics at Diponegoro University (FSM UNDIP) once again took a proactive step in attracting prospective students by collaborating with Neutron, an educational tutoring institution, to organize an online promotional event introducing FSM’s undergraduate study programs. The event was held via Zoom and YouTube on Saturday, May 10, 2025, and was attended by over 1,900 participants. This initiative represents a significant breakthrough in increasing interest in FSM through the Independent Admission pathway.

The session featured a presentation by the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. Ngadiwiyana, S.Si., M.Si. He emphasized that FSM warmly welcomes prospective students from across the country to apply through Independent Admission. “Studying at FSM is not difficult. In fact, according to the latest graduation data from May 6, 2025, 74% of FSM graduates earned cum laude honors,” he stated.

He also introduced FSM’s seven leading undergraduate programs: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Statistics, Informatics, and Biotechnology. Most of these programs have received “Excellent” accreditation from the national accreditation board. As of 2025, the Chemistry and Biology undergraduate programs have achieved international ASIIN accreditation, with four additional programs preparing for international accreditation submissions within the year.

FSM UNDIP is known for various strengths, including its strategically located main campus in Tembalang, convenient transportation access, and graduates who are highly employable in diverse sectors. FSM alumni have established careers in national and multinational industries, state-owned enterprises, government institutions, and international organizations.

These strengths are further enhanced by numerous achievements from FSM students at both national and international levels, ranging from scientific competitions and technological innovations to accomplishments in arts and sports. These achievements underscore FSM’s role as a nurturing ground for champions ready to compete on a global stage.

During the discussion session, participants asked about international opportunities at FSM. Dr. Ngadiwiyana explained that FSM is advancing its vision as a “World Class Faculty” through various international collaborations, including internships abroad, summer courses, student exchange programs, and visits from international professors. “Students can even join international programs as early as their first year,” he added.

Following the information session, the event continued with a try-out for the Independent Admission test, organized by Neutron. This activity aimed to assist high school students in preparing for university entrance, particularly into FSM UNDIP.
