The Faculty of Science and Mathematics (FSM) of Universitas Diponegoro actively participated in the Agrimat (Indonesia Agriculture Machinery, Accessories & Tools) Expo 2025 held at Muladi Dome, Universitas Diponegoro, Semarang, from 17–19 July 2025. Targeting 7,000 visitors per day, the exhibition served as a platform to introduce the latest agricultural and food technologies.
As part of Undip, FSM showcased three flagship innovations resulting from research and community service:
- Essential Oil-Based Product Technology for SDGs
An innovation by Prof. Dr. Hermin Pancasakti Kusumaningrum, S.Si., M.Si., along with the Thematic KKN Team IDBU 61 Penggaron, featuring a range of health, hygiene, home fragrance, and eco-friendly fertilizer products. These include:
- Health and beauty products: hand soap, spa & bath products, aromatherapy candles, herbal lotion, and mosquito repellent lotion.
- Household cleaning products: dish soap, floor cleaner, glass cleaner.
- Room fragrance products: reed diffusers and aromatherapy gels.
- Environmental and agricultural products: compost fertilizer from essential oil waste.
These products aim to support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and poverty alleviation in the KHDTK Penggaron area.- D’Ozone: Plasma Technology for Food Storage
The technology is initiated and led by Prof. Dr. Drs. Muhammad Nur, DEA. D’Ozone technology utilizes ozone plasma to extend the shelf life of meat, fish, vegetables, and fruits, making it highly relevant in supporting modern food logistics systems and cold chain efficiency. - 9% Single Silica Inorganic Fertilizer
Developed by Prof. Dr. Agus Subagio, S.Si., M.Si., this fertilizer is designed for all types of crops, including food crops, horticulture, and plantations, offering environmentally friendly productivity benefits.
- D’Ozone: Plasma Technology for Food Storage
Agrimat Expo 2025 itself is a transformative event that brings together agribusiness players, the food industry, and cold chain specialists to explore technologies, trends, and the latest innovations shaping Indonesia’s food value chain. Agrimat 2025 highlights various advancements in smart farming, precision agriculture, and post-harvest technology, while the concurrently held Jateng Cold Chain Expo 2025 focuses on innovations in cold storage, temperature-controlled logistics, and digital monitoring solutions to ensure food quality and safety from upstream to downstream.
The Rector of Universitas Diponegoro, Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., was also present and visited FSM UNDIP’s booth at the exhibition. He observed firsthand the demonstration of D’Ozone technology presented by FSM as one of its flagship innovations in the field of food security.
FSM UNDIP’s participation in Agrimat Expo 2025 demonstrates the faculty’s commitment to developing and applying science-based innovations to address agricultural, food, and environmental sustainability challenges in Indonesia. FSM is not only focused on academic research but also delivers tangible solutions with direct impact on society, industry, and the strengthening of the national agricultural ecosystem.
