Diponegoro University once again held the university-level Outstanding Student Selection (Pilmapres) for 2026 from March 3 to 5, 2026. This event is a tiered selection process designed to identify outstanding students who excel not only in academics, but also in creativity, innovation, character, and global communication skills.
Pilmapres serves as one of the platforms for student development in showcasing their overall quality. Throughout the selection process, participants were assessed based on several main components, namely Outstanding Achievements (Capaian Unggulan/CU), Creative Ideas (Gagasan Kreatif/GK), and English proficiency. Through these assessments, students were encouraged to demonstrate their track record of achievements, critical and solution-oriented thinking skills, as well as their readiness to compete at a broader level.
Within the Faculty of Science and Mathematics (FSM) of UNDIP, the selection process began at the department level, covering Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Statistics, and Biotechnology. From this initial stage, each department nominated four of its best students to compete at the faculty level. The participants then went through a comprehensive assessment process, from which the top three students of FSM were selected to advance to the university level.
At the university level, the top representatives from each faculty and the Vocational School took part in further stages of selection, including desk evaluation and the UNDIP final selection. From all participants who went through these stages, three students were selected as the Outstanding Undergraduate Students of Diponegoro University 2026.
Based on the selection results, First Place was awarded to Ni Wayan S, Second Place to Grestine Dwivanya, and Third Place to Adeline Hartono, a 2023 undergraduate student in Biotechnology from the Faculty of Science and Mathematics, Diponegoro University.
Adeline Hartono’s achievement as Third Place winner in Pilmapres UNDIP 2026 is a source of pride for FSM. This accomplishment demonstrates that FSM students are capable of competing and excelling at the university level through a combination of achievements, creativity, and strong communication skills.
The participation and success of FSM students in this event are expected to inspire other students to continue developing their potential, improving their achievements, and confidently contributing to bring honor to the faculty and the university in various competitions.
