The Faculty of Science and Mathematics (FSM) at Diponegoro University (UNDIP) held a Faculty Work Meeting on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at the 4th Floor of Acintya Prasada Building, FSM UNDIP. The meeting was attended by the Dean, Vice Dean for Resources, and heads of study programs within FSM UNDIP as part of efforts to consolidate and formulate future faculty strategies.
The meeting focused on discussing strategies for the 2026 new student admissions, emphasizing the importance of adopting an adaptive approach to the evolving interests of prospective students. Faculty leaders highlighted the need to strengthen admission pathways, including optimizing the independent admission track, which is designed to be more structured and flexible in order to reach a wider pool of potential applicants.

In addition, the meeting reviewed trends in prospective students’ interest across various study programs as a basis for strategic decision-making. The evaluation results were directed toward enhancing the attractiveness of study programs through more relevant promotional approaches, enabling the faculty to better respond to the needs and preferences of prospective students.
During the discussion, digital platforms were identified as a key focus, as they serve as primary sources of information for prospective students. Therefore, strengthening the official website and social media presence is prioritized by focusing on informative and engaging content, such as career prospects, curriculum details, and student activities and achievements.

The meeting also produced several strategic agreements, including optimizing digital media management at the departmental level and strengthening collaboration across units. Furthermore, it was agreed to establish a creative team involving students, with guidance from faculty members, to support the production of more innovative and consistent promotional content.
Moreover, the utilization of campus facilities and infrastructure as part of visual promotional materials was also highlighted during the meeting. This effort is expected to provide a more comprehensive picture of the academic environment at FSM UNDIP while enhancing the faculty’s appeal to prospective students.
Through this work meeting, FSM UNDIP reaffirmed its commitment to developing more effective and sustainable new student admission strategies. These efforts are expected to strengthen FSM UNDIP’s position as a leading faculty of choice among prospective students at the national level.
