Accelerating International Publications, FSM Undip Holds 2026 Manuscript Bootcamp Targeting Scopus Journals

The Faculty of Science and Mathematics (FSM) at Diponegoro University once again held the Manuscript Bootcamp / Paper Booster event with the theme “Joint Paper Submission to Scopus-Indexed Reputable International Journals” on Tuesday, July 21, 2026. This event was held on the 4th Floor of the Acintya Prasada Building, FSM Undip, and was attended by lecturers from various departments, including new lecturers who were specifically required to actively participate by submitting review article drafts.

Unlike previous years, this year’s event was designed to be more tactical and fully focused on execution. The attendees were immediately directed to parallel rooms specifically divided by department. This step was taken so that the available time could be optimally allocated for technical assistance and the manuscript submission process.

This intensive mentoring session was guided directly by experts and reviewers from each department, with the following distribution:

  • Department of Mathematics: Mentored by Prof. Dr. Widowati, S.Si., M.Si., located in the Meeting Room.
  • Department of Chemistry: Mentored by Ir. Marcelinus Christwardana, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., IPM., ASEAN Eng., located in the Meeting Room.
  • Department of Biology: Mentored by Prof. Drs. Sapto Purnomo Putro, M.Si., Ph.D., located in Room L402.
  • Department of Statistics: Mentored by Dr. Budi Warsito, S.Si., M.Si., located in Room L403.
  • Department of Informatics: Mentored by Dr. Retno Kusumaningrum, S.Si., M.Kom., located in Room L404.
  • Department of Physics: Mentored by Dr. Eng. Ali Khumaeni, S.Si., M.Eng., located in the Computer Room.

As a form of research collaboration, every lecturer was required to involve a maximum of one student, research assistant, or junior lecturer as a collaborator in the publication to strengthen the research culture and academic regeneration within FSM Undip.

During this event, it was ensured that participants had brought mature manuscript drafts ready for submission. While in the parallel rooms, participants received guidance, technical assistance, and direct consultation regarding the manuscript refinement process to meet the standards of Scopus-indexed reputable journals.

Through this breakthrough that directly focuses on parallel work, FSM Undip hopes the target of increasing the productivity of lecturers’ scientific publications, both individually and institutionally, can be realized immediately. This event serves as a concrete manifestation of FSM Undip’s commitment to boosting the number of international publications while strengthening cross-generational academic collaboration.
